Greeting from Leonie Matthews

We have been in Sydney now for just three months. We thank the Lord for a good move. Nothing was broken! I will say I have found this the hardest move. It has taken me quite a while to settle. I feel as if I am starting to do that now. God is teaching me to trust Him more, although I am a slow learner, He has always been faithful.

Danielle and Nathan enjoy their new school and are getting used to their long days. All up they catch four buses and two trains to and fro. We gave them a mobile phone for urgent contact only and one day Danielle did not come home with it. I thought that was the end of it, especially being in Sydney. But God had his hand on it – even before we asked Him, the bus company called to say they had some of our property. I know so often we worry when we don’t need to. Reminds me of the hymn we sing “What a friend we have in Jesus – oh what peace we often forfeit oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.”

I will be sitting in on R.E. to start with when school goes back for a couple of weeks. I have only just started with the school canteen.  We have been led to a church in Carlingford which is very evangelical. The children enjoy attending the young group each Friday night also.

Blessings,
Leonie Matthews
