Len Bergin and James Black at Army Logistics Training Centre, Wodonga
The Army Logistics Training Centre, Wodonga, Victoria, remains an active ministry catering also for RAAF trainees at Latchford Barracks.
Rep Len Bergin stepped up early this year and continues to make the most of every opportunity, witnessing the love of Christ in word and deed. Len often receives requests from training staff to brief the troops, both on base and out at the Army’s favourite bush H.Q., the “elbow” at Stanley State Forest. (Golden opportunities to not only tell of the services we offer, but also to let them know we are Christians, here for their eternal spiritual welfare). On-board the Everyman’s trucks, alongside the goodies are tracts, DVD’s and Bibles for service men and women to freely take. Supporting Len are some Army Chaplains who meet Thursday morning to pray. Most Wednesdays Len brief’s the new soldiers arriving from Kapooka. There he screens the Everyman’s DVD which clearly states our Christian message and mission. Len then shares his testimony. As he shares, he trusts that our Australian soldiers will see how faith in Christ will create an increasingly effective and committed Army. In years gone by ALTC has had two full-time Reps. Len currently man’s the Centre as the only full-time accredited Rep. James Black meets with Len weekly for prayer. Please pray earnestly for Len and James. Their love and concern for our ADF in Bandiana is a key ingredient in bringing the message of salvation to ADF members at ALTC.
