Rep. Grant-Woodford’s Ministry Update:

Kokoda Barracks welcomes newly appointed Rep. Richard Gipson. Richard is a valuable addition to the work at Canungra, helping with brew runs and on-base activities. Kokoda Barracks extends for some 6000 hectares, so now with two of us and a vehicle each, we can cover twice as much ground in reaching ADF men and women visiting our base for training exercises and promotional courses. Lately, it has been a little quiet on base in preparation for around 1000 visiting troops from around Australia, the USA and the U.K, for the Talisman Sabre Exercise. But while quiet (in regards to usual visiting units), we have been able to develop stronger relations with the defence personnel, normally stationed at Canungra. During this quieter period we moved our office to a temporary location in the bowels of another building called ‘the dungeon’ but always looking on the brighter side, we renamed it ‘the bunker.’ On the promotional side of things, we have just held our second BBQ fund-raiser at Bunnings Ashmore. On the day, we had perfect Gold Coast weather complementing the sweet aroma of onions on the grill, alongside sizzling sausages. The event was a great success, allowing other Reps to meet and build stronger friendships, raise awareness for Everyman’s within the Gold Coast community, and raise some much needed funds as well. In signing off, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for the continuing support and valuable prayer. With this and through the grace and strength from God, we do what God has called us to do.

Thank you for your partnership.
