Rep. Susan Nitz reports:

Over the last twelve months God has really opened up our mission field at Amberley RAAF. Opportunities range from: Visiting personnel in hospital, frontline, the gym, the mess, and various units dotted around the base. These activities provide a broad range of people to encourage and with whom to share the love of God. Even the “annoyances” have provided us with an opportunity to conduct a Christ-like attitude which, in turn, has people wondering... and they are slowly warming up to us, and starting to share more openly.

A few new things. One of which includes our exercise program. Our exercise comes by way of walking around the base, leaving a trail of Everyman’s brochures with attached mud-maps to our Rec. Centre. We've called it ’seek & save’. Another strategy has been our ‘Heroes’ board. This is where we place articles of Amberley personnel on display in our Centre. We let them know that they are ‘our heroes.’ Not like some science fiction character or a sports hero, but someone who is prepared to put their life on the line for ours. Regarding operations: We were recently invited to conduct a Brew Run for the first time in support of 9FSB at Greenbank. Newcomer Phil Marshall helped with the operational side of things. We expect to be doing a lot more of this in the future alongside some lengthier ‘exercises’ at Shoalwater Bay, utilizing our new mobile Rec. Centre (thanks to Kedron/Wavell RSL).

In closing, I would like to ask that you keep us in your prayers. Pray that we would continue to be a beacon of God’s light to the lost at Amberley RAAF.

God bless from Reps Susan Nitz & John Turner
