ARTC administers a rigorous course of physical and mental training required in order for an individual to become a soldier in both the Australian Army or Australian Army Reserve. Currently, all Australian Army Recruit Training takes place at (ARTC).The full time recruit course takes 83 days in the case of Regular Army Recruit Course training and 36 days for the Reserve Recruit Course training.

The ‘Home of the Soldier’ is a very busy place for the ‘Everyman’. To keep morale up we provide simple support by doing brew runs to the range and to the field positions, we also run a recreation centre. We provide a listening ear, prayer support and encouragement. We are a Christian witness in a tough environment for recruits. Many of these young men & women deploy directly to war zones.

Everyman’s has a fully functioning Recreation Centre which includes: Pool table, Internet Cafe, PlayStations, Soccer Table, Darts, Chess, Draughts, Carpet Bowls, Tea & Coffee making facilities, Daily newspapers and a variety of books & magazines. A selection of books provided by the local Christian Book Store are also available.

Currently we have two part-time reps working very busy hours to keep the morale up among the young recruits. Defence have requested EWS to look into providing another full time member who would help to expand the existing work of brew runs to the ranges and field positions in addition to the operation of the ‘Recreation Centre‘.
